OK. I've had a look at Google Docs. Not sure if I have a use for sharing documents yet. But I do like the other Googley things; I have iGoogle on my desktop with cute things like a calendar, clock, notepad for quick phone numbers so I don't have to keep looking them up somewhere else; gmail account right there in case the family writes; and a daily Children's story. I think I have recently added my Twitter link, but, guess what - I've forgotten my login. What a twit!
Also had a look at Zoho. Very cute, but I'd probably stick with Google to lessen the confusion for my feeble brain.
On, on - to the podcast....

Test Drive 2
Back again for Test Drive 2. And immediately I got led down a rabbit hole by the Survey Monkey. Not sure if that was part of the Test but I made a quick quiz to see how it all works anyway.

More sleep, I say!
Since I've picked up this blog again, I'm finding I need more sleep. Can't imagine what's being going on for the past 5 weeks since I last wrote anything. I'm hoping it means I've got a life, but I'm worried that it's nothing of the sort.
Anyway, everyone else has finished this course ... so I'm just a little behind.

Progress Postponed!
It's one thing to have all the information at your fingertips, another to actually have time to use it. Basic survival has taken over - keeping everyone fed, including the dog; keeping the clothes dry when rain falls every time you step outside (or even think about it!)
The blog takes last place, especially in a household of 2 computers and 3 people. It's a constant game of musical chairs. I'm not sure what I should be up to in the Test Drive.
More soon.

Sunday Reflection
Heard on ABC radio this morning, Ronald Wright's 2004 Massey Lecture: A Brief History of Progress. Originally broadcast on CBC Canada this is a sobering reflection on the "10,000-year experiment we have participated in but seldom controlled." Hear the podcast and read the transcript on the ABC Radio National site. You can also borrow the book from the library. Now that's progress!

Photos again ...
Right. The camera that went on holidays with us has been sabotaged by little kids. But I think I have it working again now. So, let's try a photo from my camera.
OK ... download it from the camera to the computer. Then click on the Add Image button. Then resize the 3.6MB image so it doesn't blow up the internet! Click "Done", and see what happens ...
Well ... the guidelines do say not to show any faces of kids :)
What do you think, Squiddy? Did I do good? Did I? Did I? Did I? (Coco)

Uploading photos
OK. I have a Flickr account with a few photos. Let's see how tricky it is to upload a pic for the blog ;)
.... Hmmm.. well when it doesn't work, go read the instructions! Later.
It works if you make a link to the photo on flickr.
Like this - A red-eyed poodle.
But I thought I'd be able to upload the photo into the blog!

Web 2 : Take 2
Looks like I started this experimental blog 4 years ago! Things have changed since then. It's a lot easier to post and include links now. I'll go back through the SLQ tutorial and find out what else is new. See you there!
